Plarn Tote Bag and More

Wow, it's been a month since I last posted! I've been busy crocheting of course. I started working with plarn and love it. Yes, I said plarn, it's plastic yarn and I made it out of grocery bags that I've been saving up. It's SO easy to make, I just cut the plastic bag like I do for t-shirt yarn and it makes a continuous strip of "plarn".  Here's a photo of my tote bag hanging up.

A photo of it on the floor.

I think the 2nd photo shows the colors better. I crocheted it in a half-double stitch.  There are 2 handles on the tote. When I ran out of "plarn" I just cut some more bags and tied the plarn together with a knot, hiding the knot as I crochteted. I can't wait to take my new bag on my next shopping trip.

I've also been working on several projects as I worked on the tote bag. I usually have several projects in the works so that when I get bored working on one I pick up another and work on it. I have been working on a Christmas afghan. There's still alot of work to be done on this but I do hope that I get it done before Christmas. Here's a photo of it in my yarn basket.

The red looks a little washed out in the light, I think the metallic thread plays with it as well.

I'm also working on a cotton kitchen towel to hang on my stove door. This one is more fall looking colors than the one I previously made. Of course I'll have to make a Christmas colored one as well.

Well that's it for now. Back to crocheting! Have a safe & happy Halloween!!

Until next time!

Dead Laptop Slow Progress

My laptop has died. It won't connect to the internet. It's old as the hills and not worth spending the money to replace the network ...
