Border on the Scrapghan

I have been working on my "scrapghan" as much as I can, between packing and moving my belongings to my youngest daughter's. Everything is in storage in their outbuilding, except for what I need to take with me in the car. As I mentioned in an earlier post, I'll be traveling this summer and possibly longer. The car is all packed up and ready to go. I'll be leaving on Monday morning and heading to Florida to see my 2 brothers and their wives, whom I haven't seen in nearly 10 years. I can't wait to see them all! When I leave Florida I will be traveling to visit my dear friend in Tucson, AZ. I can't wait to see her either.

Anyway, the "scrapghan" is almost finished. I'm just working on finishing up the border. I did an initial border row of single crochet in black, then a row of double crochet in black. Changing color to purple, I am now working on a row of double crochet. Then I'll switch back to the black for a few rows and it'll be finished. I'm tossing around the idea of a shell edge in the black, I think it might look good.

Here's what it looks like so far.

I think the black really makes the colors "pop", don't you?
Well, lots to do before I begin my journey. I'm taking a break from working on a small rug for my daughter's bathroom, I want to get it done before I leave here. I'll take pictures of it when I'm finished.

Until next time!
